You Will Have to Discover It Yourself

There is a path that is unknown. You will discover it by removing every rock, cutting the grass. But everything is uncertain, and doubts emerge.
Football legend Thierry Henry once said he asked Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger how to become a better footballer.
Wenger's answer: "You will have to discover it yourself."
So how do we learn — by walking that road alone, or guided by the illuminating fire of a teacher?
The Greeks had a guideline for this. Socrates embodied what they called paideia — the belief that education is not just the transmission of knowledge, but the pursuit of self-knowledge and virtue.
